A highly complex malty beer, with flavors of caramel and toasted wheat; the hint of oak is from being aged 60 days in our Big Ass Barrels. The Big Ass Barrels stand over 8ft tall, were harvested from the Oregon coastal range and are the only ones that exist in the world.

Tasting at Eugene’s
Dark amber to brown color. Mild aroma of dark malts, dark fruits, lightly spicy. Good body; nice dark caramel flavor and plenty of dar fruit s, and correct bitterness too.
This is really nice; for once a good wheat wine.

Blind tasting, beer #3 of 6.
This was the top (or tied for top) placing beer of the blind. Who the hell even knew this existed. I probably would have been biased against this beer if not blind. But it was generally liked. My personal notes indicate it was fresh tasting, a light beer for the style, not sweet or over the top on anything. A light hoppiness was apparent as well. This was my top scoring beer by a decent margin. Andrew was the only one that really didn’t like it. Berko needs to update his rating. He gave it 3.6 blind.

Bottle poured, as #3 of 6 in the blind wheat wine tasting. Dark ruby brown pour with a thin patchy head. Big beer here. Graham cracker like flavor with a boozy aroma from a distance. Slight maple like flavor. A little harsh for me, as a lot of wheat wines tend to be. Not bad, but far from smooth.

On tap at PIB, pours a dark orangey amber with a small beige head. Aroma is quite boozy, with notes of alcohol, dark fruits, and some weird spicy notes. Flavour is quite boozy as well, with notes of vanilla, alcohol, spices and dark fruits. Quite an interesting beer, with a full palate of spice and booze. Unique wheat wine. Decent beer.
