Floral, herbal aroma. Flavour has pleasant soft maltiness, light herbal taste and a clean finish. Lacks depth of flavour.

Bit boring and uninspired Belgian blond beer. It’s not bad, just very plain.

Dark gold. Malty, corn, honey, touch of Belgian yeast, honey, some peach and spices. Medium sweet with bitter finish. Later more bitter, like unripe vegetables. Medium mouth, slightly dry. OK beer.

19/III/13 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: 5/X/13 (2013-256)
Clear blond to light orange beer, big irregular white head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet and sugary, very fruity, peaches, sweet malts, hint of citrus. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, quite some citrus, bitter hops, grassy, still very fruity overall. Aftertaste: bitter, grassy hops, some citrus, fruity again, honey like sweetness, bit medicinal bitterness in the end, pretty decent. Very surprised with the low ratings here...

Bottle listed as Maya Blond (6%, 33 EBU with a best before of 01/07/12). Pours with a mostly clear, very pale blond hued body with a very small white head. Aroma of seltzer water, very mild malt, clean, and bland with very mild DMS. Flavors show some DMS, a touch of fruity esters, light malt notes. Medium dry, average carbonation, lighter bodied with a dry finish. Forgettable.

19th May 2012: 0.75 litre cork and caged bottle, well in date, poured into three glasses. Lager looking brew, clear and crisp with a slight haze in the last glass as a minute amount of sediment managed to leave the bottle. Thin white head added to the lager/pilsner appearance. The nose was subdued: light hints of bread and yeast with a sprinkling of malt. The taste was boring: a dry and bitter finish didn’t help the overall experience at all, sadly it didn’t even start off well. Weak and a little thin body wise also. Let’s just say we didn’t get on too well and I’ll not be having another.

33cl Bottle from an organic shop. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of grain, sugar cane, some spice, musty. Flavour is light sweet, light malty, grainy, sugar cane, some weird flavour I can’t pinpoint, bittersweet finish. Light bodied. OK.

Lightly hazy blond body. Slightly off-white creamy head (of the books). Disgusting aroma of fat, salami, wine(?), anise (bit), orange (bit), spices. It is mainly the first part that makes it disgusting, even it would not be there it could have been ok. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. The disturbing factor is also present in the flavour and dominates everything. I love experimenting, but obviously not always the result.
