Brighter orange colour, some notes of hops on the nose and a sour gueuze smell. Taste is much the same, sourness and I could have sworn it was a gueuze. Not as sour as I expected, but that’s good, there was a nice balance of flavours and no alcohol sting.

Pours a cloudy bright orange beer. A rocky white head that almost disappears completely. Smells like green apples, a fresh tartness, some smoke and dried wood. Mouth feeling is pretty flat. Taste is fresh tart, the geuze is clearly present. The green apples from the nose come kicking back in again. Aftertaste has lemon, green apples and some yeast which makes it a bit moldy, but not bad.

Hazy-golden to cognac colour, with a good yellowish dense head. Very Cantillon-like Brettanomyces nose, lemony, lactic. But in the taste, the Bretts (of American, floor mop variety?) threaten to ruin with aromas of old cookies, dishwater, lemon and finally a bit flowery. Lipsmacking acidity, reverting to the Cantillon streak, some acidburn. The taste has definitely a little fault, but overall it still represents a nice sour ale. was: 8/4/6/3/14>3.5 Retasted : Spectacular bettering of the beer with a year of aging. Typical, Cantillon nose, but in a very mellow - mals way, lemony. Same in the taste with lots of citrus/lemon, lemonflower. MF has become much more creamy. DADEST! marks for the ripened beer.
