Servida en pinta inglesa, color negro opaco, espuma beige abundante y duradera. En nariz notas de chocolate, maltas torrefactas, bizcocho de chocolate, pan negro, café en grano...tuve e la ocurrencia de acercarme a la nariz la botella vacía y oler en su interior después de haber servido su contenido y ya lo que de ahí percibí me hizo salivar. En boca es profunda y rica en matices, pero con un cuerpo que ,siendo completo, tiene el punto exacto de ligereza para hacerla tremendamente llevadera de beber. Por el paladar se pasean notas de café, cacao, maltas quemadas, pan tostado, pan de centeno, achicoria, tabaco negro...El amargor, forzosamente torrefacto, es medio-alto, dulzor medio, exquisitamente redonda, alcohol perfectamente integrado, postgusto largo y placentero...En definitiva una Porter excelente

Dunkelbraune bis schwarze Farbe mit beiger Schaumkrone. Malziger, röstmalziger Geruch mit Kaffee und Schokolade. Geschmacklich malzig, röstmalzig mit Kaffee und Schokolade. Hohe Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Aus der Flasche (bottled 08.09.2021) im 2024-03 getrunken. Dieses Porter zeigt sich recht solide mit seinen ausgewogenen, typischen Röstaromen.

35,5cl bottle (bottled: 15/02/21, BB: 08/23) from Jumbo supermarket in Stein, Netherlands. F: medium, tanned, good retention. C: black, opaque. A: dark malts, coffee, bit herbal, black olives, spicy, dark chocolate, dark dried fruits, blackberries. T: rich dark malts with roasted tones, coffee, bit herbal, umami, nutty, leather, blueberries, nice balanced bitterness, medium carbonation, easy drinkable but complex, fully enjoyed.

Pours pitch black with a dense and quite big off-white/grey head that shows quite good retention and some lacing. A simple, straightforward aroma of roasted malts with espresso coffee notes, plus light, bitter chocolate notes. A very clean but not too deep aroma, and also quite subdued. Taste notes are brighter and a bit richer: a quite strong roasted malts base, approaching the dry acidic feel of some examples of the style; notes of espresso coffe, bitter chocolate and maybe a hint of anise. Balance is on the bitter side in both taste and aftertaste, but there's some softness to it, resulting in a pleasant and balance overall experience. Medium body with quite low, light-bubbled carbonation, resulting in a nice semi smooth, semi soft mouthfeel. What i found is a simple and straightforward but well crafted interpretation of the style.
