Robust Porter
Pours silky black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence. No absence of hops gives Founders’ robust porter the full flavor you deserve and expect. Cozy like velvet. It’s a lover, not a fighter.

Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour have some sweet chocolate malts. Moderately bitter. Well rounded and has a nice thick texture.

35cl Bottle, thanks Harmen! Black colour, beige head. Aroma of coffee, tobacco, liquorice, some berries, prunes, chocolate. Flavour follows, quite roasty as well, fruity, caramel, relatively sweet, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Good, but expected more.

Tap at Luppolo Station in Rome. Black pour with a frothy brownish foam. Nose: powdered barley with highlights of caramel far away and licorice root. Mouth: I expected a sweet porter...no way. It is a classical porter, easy, bitter, not watery but rich of burnt maltiness although clean. The aftertaste is row burnt malts. Lovely

355ml bottle into glass. Nose is chocolate, cocoa and dry coffee. Black beer with thin tan-coloured head. Effervescent and full-bodied. Taste and finish have lots of coffee and milk chocolate. Excellent porter, a llttle too much coffee for my tastes.

Cierta densidad y algo espumoso. Para repetir sin duda.

3 week old bottle > tulip A: Pours pitch black like dirty motor oil and flat looking but does form a big brown head that retains for a few minutes and laces in sheets. S: Dark chocolate and piney hops. A little cocoa powder and roast. T: Sweet and chocolatey at first, followed by bitter and fruity hop notes and light roast grains that linger a bit. Ends somewhat dry and powdery. M: Medium body with low level of smooth fine beaded carbonation. Slightly sticky finish. O: Very nice even if not a favorite style. This is about as dark and strong as I have need for. Highly recommended.

355ml bottle. Pours an opaque black with a medium, creamy, long lasting, dark brown head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, licorice and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, licorice, chocolate, caramel and a hint of vanilla with a bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Awesome, a world class porter!
