Gin BA Sour Ale w/ Foraged Sumac. Speciation would not exist without the guidance of one person: James Howat from Black Project Spontaneous & Wild Ales. Mitch worked under James for two years, learning about brewing wild beer and how to run a business. Black Project’s Lead Brewer Alex Buck came up with the idea for this particular beer, so we have to give him credit here too

Bottle from Holiday Market. Pours a mostly clear straw gold with a small bit of white foam that dissipates. Gooseberry, wet hay and light straw notes on the nose with lemon and oak aromas present. Bright lactic acidity on the nose and palate that is acidic but refreshing. Herbal and floral with some mild juniper notes on the palate. More oak and horseblanket come through with very tart finish. Really nice.
