If you’re looking for hops, we’ve got your tail. Hop Gun IPA delivers a payload of good ol’ American hops straight to your palate, bursting forth with the flavors of grapefruit and pineapple. A careful dose of smooth caramel malts swoop in to balance out the finish — just like any good wingman should.

Bottle. Hazy dark orange with medium sized foamy whitish head, citrus and hops aroma, medium carbonation, slightly bitter hoppy taste with long orange peel finish. Very nicely balanced citrus and hops bitterness.

I like it. Hop nose is mildly citric, more of a candied fruit sort of thing, pineapple seems most apparent, but a light cantaloupe flavor with a mild floral earthiness, clean bready-caramel malts, mostly balanced finish. Nice pure amber color with a big clean foamy head. There seems to be not much about this beer that screams ’hey look at me’ but that is quite alright, because it is otherwise a well built IPA.

Draft on a guest tap at Six Ten Brewing, Tampa. Orange / gold color with slowly fading head. Aroma is big grapefruit peel, hop oil, and mild pine.
Flavor shows a strong grapefruit presence with a moderate amount of malt in the body that tries to balance the IPA. Body and carbonation level is as it should be but the bitterness is very aggressive and throws it off-center. It’s like it’s bitter just for the sake of being bitter. Barely any real pine or grapefruit flavor for the bitterness. It’s ok.

4oz pour at Churchkey DC pours a clear, dark orange with some fluffy, cloudy, white head. Nose has pine, soap, orange, grapefruit, mild malt. Flavor follows, malty, mild honey, pine, soap, orange, lightly pithy. Finishes lightly sticky. A little bit old school.
