Growler thanks to Nick. Pours a clear orange with frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is grapefruit, honey and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with strong grapefruit, pine, and light bitterness in the finish, easy to drink, very impressive.

4 oz sampler draft at the brewpub in Boca Raton, Florida. The pour is a clear golden copper with a smallish off white head. The aroma is big dank resin, along with some floral hops. Super fresh and clean nose. The taste is crazy fresh, the big resin, well formed dank character, light lingering resin, and a nice balance with toasted malt. The palate is medium bodied with nice soft natural carbonation. Super fresh and tasty.

Tap at Funky Buddha. It pours clear deep amber, with a thick off-white head. The nose is leather, wood, caramel and brown bread. The taste is caramel malt, leather, grass, resin, burnt tire, toast and warming alcohol, with a long bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent, but a bit too malty.

re-rate. Light bronze. Thin head. Fairly assertive hop nose, but the palate is relatively sweet, and with a touch of apple. I wasn’t into this at all when I first had it at the Boca brewpub a few years ago. Not to say it’s anything special now, but it’s improved a fair bit since they built the production brewery and its wide availability make it one of the go-to IPAs down here along with Cat 3 and Jai Alai.
