Smooth malty beginning. Hints of fruit but also of sugar. Malty-caramel with dried and slightly sourish plums. Nice and easy to drink. Round and fresh aftertaste. Nice but not too full-bodied. --- Beer merged from original tick of Herfstbock (2015) on 28 Aug 2015 at 23:25 - Score: 6. Original review text: Smooth malty beginning. Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Clear nut brown. Fruity and caramelly. Mid sweet with medium-full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Red apples, caramel and chocolate. Mid bitter finish. Quite harmonious.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Malz, Karamell, rote Früchte. Geschmack süß röstmalzig, rote Früchte, leicht würzig.

Clear, dark brown. Pleasant sweet, malty caramel aroma. Quite a mild flavour but typical dark bock malty sweetness.

Bottle courtesy of Ekstedt shared @ Ekstedts bock-tasting. Pours clear chestnut brown with an off-white head that quickly dissipates while leaving some trace on the glass. Smell is sweet, tiny sour and stale with bread, red berries and a chemical smell reminding me of glue and/or cleanser. Taste is sweet with bread, bread-spices, red berries and hints of alcohol. Mouthfeel is tiny tart and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and sour with bread and red berries.
