Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is quite nice with a big citrus making its way past the huge head. Flavor is a bitter grapefruit with plenty of citrus zest that stays with you for a while. Finish is a tart grapefruit. A bit to one dimentional as this is all about the grapefruit and I cant’t really get much else. But with that said if you like a fresh juicy grapefruit this is a beer for you.

12 ounce bottle. Pale golden color. Moderate fluffy white head. Sweet citrusy malt aroma. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor has obvious grapefruit nuances. Some bready malt notes. Juicy citrus in midtaste. Dry hoppy finish.

Bottle: Cloudy, orange-amber with a small white head. Orange, grapefruit aroma. Taste is straightforward grapefruit and peel. Ok, but rather boring...just one note here....plentiful bittering, but dry and uninteresting.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 5/21/2015. Pours lightly hazy golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of juicy grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of grapefruit, citrus/pine hops, and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big juicy grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of grapefruit, citrus/pine hops, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and some slight lingering resin astringency after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and resinous/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice grapefruit IPA. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of bright and juicy grapefruit, citrus/pine hops, and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
