Dit bier wordt tijdens de lange lagering dry-hopped. Er is een zeer sterke CO2 pareling met een overvloedige witte schuimkraag tot gevolg. De neus wordt beheerst door hop, gevolgd door een kruidigheid (onder andere lichte munttoetsen), eveneens te wijten aan de gebruikte hopsoorten. De alcohol zit goed verborgen en valt nauwelijks op, hopbitter en mouttoetsen zijn mooi in evenwicht.

Sampled from 0.75 l bottle from ’Belgiuminabox.com’, best before July 2016. Gusher! Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a white head. Sweetish, moderately yeasty-spicy and slightly grassy aroma of clove, straw and grains. Slightly sweetish, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy taste of grains, straw, clove and some Belgian candy, followed by a medium long, moderately grassy-bitter, dry and a bit boozy finish. Medium body, rather effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay!

Bottle shared with Zlotta and Koelschtrinker. Trübes leuchtend goldenes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch ist kräftig malzig, helles malz, helle Früchte, trocken. Geschmack ist kräftig malzig, helle Früchte, leicht holzig, leicht alkoholisch.

F: huge, white, very good retention C: blonde, hazy. A: malty, fruity, yeasty, peach, floral, bit of apples peels, hint of cellar, spicy. T: strong pressure after opening but no gusher, malty, peppery, fruity, orange peels, strong carbonation, peach, yeasty, pear, full body, I also like regular achel 8 blond and this is not worse, fully enjoyed, 75cl bottle as Achelse Kluis from abbey monastery.

BOTTLE 75 CL as Achelse Kluis. Hazy golden, huge white head. Bug and bold tripelesque aroma - Aroma of honey, pale stone fruit and wild herbs. Balanced taste, not too sweet and not overly dry / tart, heavy on wild aromatic herbs and quite bitter for a Tripel.

750ml bottle at The Sovereign, thanks to iphonephan, who purchased it for the group and who left before I got there. Poured a very hazy yellow color with a small white, foamy head. Aroma was light funky notes, touch of light earthy hops. Funky barn and hay. Light sweet citrus. Alcohol is hidden pretty well. Tasty.

Tap into a wine glass showing hazy dark yellow with a lot of sparse white foam. The nose shows alot of barnyard funk and light malts. The palate is medium bodied and moderately carbonated. Lightly tart with a light malty sweetness and light flavors of orange. Light hoppy bitterness on the finish.

From a 75 cl bottle at The Sovereign in Georgetown. Pours a hazy gold with a huge off white head. Aroma of tropical fruits. Flavors of banana and coriander. Smooth, smooth, smooth, with a slight bitter finish.

Not every day I get to try a trappist tripel that i haven’t tried - thanks iphonephan. Very well balanced. Florals and light caramel. Some coriander. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Light sweet finish. Nice stuff. Bottle at Sovereign.

Kirkas, kullankeltainen olut vaahtoaa runsaasti. Vaahto on kestävää, pienikuplaista ja tiheää jättäen rusaan määrän tiivistä tiheää pitsiä. Tuoksussa belgihiivaa, hedelmää ja vehnää. Maussa vehnää ja kevyesti appelsiinimaista hedelmää. Alkoholi tulee hieman läpi. Täyteläinen suutuntuma, hiilihappoja varsin kevyesti. Ei niin raikas tai humaloitu kuin 8, mutta oikein toimiva nautiskeluolut. Edit. Lämmettyään ja hiivojen kanssa hedelmäisyys nousee yllättäen enemmän esiin ja alkoholi katoaa.
