Bottle @ home. Big time gusher. Hazy dark brown with a big and lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, sour fruit, wood and notes of vinegar. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate acidic. Dry and moderate acidic finish. I would have liked to drink the other half myself instead of spending time cleaning it up in my kitchen. 260313

Picked this up for takewaway at Rattle n’ Hum in NYC in July ’12. Enjoyed in a wine glass at 55F
A - Poured a very dark amber, appears to be unfiltered and huge head even on a careful pour. Head was white with hints of brown
S - Cherries and Oak with vinegar. Smells like a flanders red
T - Big vinegar bomb, lots of oak and cherries and a hint of peaches. Has a stale..(oxidized?) cardboard taste at the finish.
M - Medium carbonation, medium body
O - I think this beer is past prime. too much cardboard and moldy oak taste.

750mL bottle, sent from LateStart (thanks Jordan), pours a deep dark amber with a voluminous beige head. Aroma of sour dark fruits, light vinegar, sort of a red wine quality - really complex. Flavour is very complex, with notes of soured dark fruits, a bit of a vinous quality, light vinegar and low acidity. Very complex and intensely carbonated - too carbonated I'd say to bring out the true complexity of this beer. Very enjoyable stuff, not too far off from Duchesse de Bourgogne, but way overcarbonated. Great stuff.

Opaque dark brown beer, tiny pale tan head, short lived. Mildly sour nose. Crispy palate. Dark malts in the background play to a kind of Flemish style of sourness. Like Duchesse Du Bourgogne but toned down slightly and all the better for it. Smooth fruits and a touch of vinegar. Smooth finish.

0.75l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This one has a massive massive fluffy bubbly head on top of a near murky dark plum-red body. The aroma is light tart-sour with clear vinegar and wood. Some near chocolate thing blended with lingonberries and sweet red berries. Really nice! The flavor has cherries, red currants, blueberries, vinegar, sour gooseberries, dry lingonberies and red wine vinegar. What a specimen! Really tasty! 27.07.2012

Thanks to BeerBaby for this one! Pours clear very dark brown with garnet highlights. Very foamy tall, long-lasting off-white head. Tart, sour aroma. Balsamic vinaigrette and spoiled apples. The flavor is sour and acetic. I don’t care for the way the sourness finishes on the tongue. This needs a bit more malt sweetness to balance it out for my tastes.

Bottle 750ml @ ClubGonzo
Pours cloudy deep amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, vinegar, acetone, caramel and fruits. Taste is light to medium sweet and meidum sour with a long sour, acetone, fruity and dry finish. Body is medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 75cl. A huge, light beige head forms over an unclear, dark amber body. Rather berry-sour aroma, with some roasted malts, a touch of caramel and some vinegar hints. Dry, effervescent and sourish on the palate. Really, really soft. Some caramel, but mostly sourish berries in the flavour. Vinegar hints too. Lasting finish. Tasteful, easy drinkable, but not overly complex. 120831

Bomber (huge gusher). Musty lemon and sour malt aroma. Cloudy orange-brown color with huge head. Sweet-sour musty prune, straw, and light malt aroma. Mild acetic finish. Funky and different.
