Introduced in 2008 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Bush Caractère, this Triple is based on the Bush Caractère that is then re-fermented in 75cl bottles.
The in-bottle re-fermentation produces an extraordinarily gentle and rounded beer with a natural yeast cloud. It has the characteristic taste and aromas of the Bush Caractère mother beer. Both the splendid screen-printed bottle and the champagne-style cork contribute to Bush Caractère Refermentée prestigious image.

75 cl.Bottle @ Hj Hansen, Odense. Pours unclear deep golden with a small creamy egg white head and lacings. Nose is deep, vinous and sweet with notes of dried fruit, yeast and orange peel. Smooth and full bodied. Heavy and warming. Taste is sweet of yeast, sugar, alcohol and dried fruit. A heavy one for sure but quite sippable.

Bottle 75cl. @ home.Light unclear with small size body particles, a medium amber orange color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, fruity, plum, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20081225]

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty and spicy yeasty aroma with hints of dark fruit and alcohol. Fruity malty spicy dark fruit flavor with some yeasty hints. Has a fruity spciy finish with some yeasty hints and some hints of caramel in the aftertaste.

US version as Scaldis Refermentee 75th Anniversary. It pours with a medium thick head. It is a dark and murky thick orange color. Aroma is full of ripe fruits (and slightly overripe fruits for that matter as well), only lightly alcoholic, which is surprising. Basically a nice meld of fruit, alcohol, and lots of Belgian yeastiness. Taste chugs right along. There is a nice orange aspect in the flavor as well. Nice thick mouthfeel that plays perfectly with the structure of the beer. Usually Scaldis can be unpredictable with the high alcohol content becoming undrinkable (think the expensive beer in the box) but I thought this brew pulled it off well.

Medium white head. Cloudy brown body. Delicate fruity wild berry aroma with alcohol and champagne notes. Dry-sweetish caramelly raisiny cinnamon and honey taste. Alcohol heat noticeable. Full body. Dry alcoholic herbal grassy aftertaste with citric notes. Excellent! (0.75l bottle.)

Bottle labeled as Refermentée thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a large, off-white head over a hazed orange body with small particles. Aroma of candi sugar, pear, must and dryness. Taste is harsh alcohol, dryness, candi sugar and a touch of breadiness. Lively bubbles, dry mouthfeel. Good.

Bottled ("Scaldis Ambree refermentee", 75cl, Vasa session). Amber color, floating yeast, cloudy off-white head. Strong glueish, mango aroma - sweetness reminds me about some heavy mead. Sweet powerful raisins, mango, alcohol, lot of citrus. Sweet liquerish. Kind of dry woody mouthfeel too. Alcohol is less dominant than 12% says.

Bottled (thanks omhper!). Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is bready malts, some alcholic sweetness, wood and some slight hints of nuts and yeast. As it warms up the alcohol gets more stinging. Flavour is caramel malts, some fruity notes, yeast and some glueish notes. Turns into raisins in aftertaste. Almost too sweet for my taste. Wellbalanced though.

Amber colour, head doesn’t last long. Aroma is toffee, oak and a little bit of alcohol. Flavour is toffee, oak, caramel and warming alcohol. One of of the better beers from Dubuisson, a brewery that IMO is a bit overrated.
