Amber ale with orange peel, grains of paradise & Coriander

Our take on the smooth, easy drinking ambers poured in cafés across Belgium, Rare Vos (Strange Fox) takes its name from a tavern near Brussels known for cycling contests, pigeon races and outstanding ales. Pouring a brilliant copper with a creamy white head, this bright, beguiling beer is sensational to session, and pairs wonderfully with mussels, frites and other pub fare.

Because at the end of the day, it’s good to enjoy the end of the day.

Bottle. Pinkish golden color. Apricot and a hint of caramel in the aroma and flavor. Some flowery hops, cookies. Maybe a bit thin. Nice fruity amber ale without any specific character.

Pours amber with a thick white head. Aroma of wild yeast, like a belgian ale. Taste is typical of the style with a slight ferrous element as well as a heavy serving of spice. Palate contains coriander, orange, lemon, nutmeg. good beer.

Pours amber with a thick white head. Aroma of spices, coriander. Taste is malty, fades away to a refined spice finish. Palate has notes of the orange peel as well as coriander. Similar to a witbier.

Clear pale amber colour, tall loose soapy off-white head, good retention, good lacing. Intense aroma, toasted malts, caramel, ripe peach/apricot, some lemon, light sour dough, earthy tones. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity, toffee, yeasty. Sweetbitter aftertaste, yeasty and spicy notes, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Rich and round, great beer.

An orange-brown beer with a quite big and blond head. Aroma has generic fruitness from belgian yeast, spicyness, earthy sourness, hint of caramel malts. Taste has fruitness, strong spicyness, some caramel. Medium bodied, smooth carbonation. Balanced and tasteful.
