Bottle. Sweet peach, apple and chocolate aroma. Light yellow color with small head. Sweet apple flavor initially with malty middlle and moderate bitter/astringent finish. Nice but not spectacular.

An orange beer with a small disappearing beige head. The aroma is spicy with coriander being most dominant. The flavor is sweet caramel with some spicy notes. An average beer.

Pale blond color. Simple ale (almost a Pale Lager…), the dry mouthfeel is lightly fruity and metallic; the only distinguishable characteristic is a fairly good hop note at the end.

Gold-amberish; thin white dense head, fast gone. Nose of freshly cut melon, malt, grassy and some Thai herb. Very malty taste; fine bitter finish (Saazhops obviously). Lemony aroma retronasal, some grapefruit and maybe some melon again. Light to medium-bodied. Long fine bitter aftertaste. Quite fruity (yeast?), surprisingly original. Is this a new beer, will De Koninck tripel be a new beer? Antoon, CuvΓ©e and Begyn are gone anyway. The brewery says yes, of course, I was more sceptical, but I'm beginning to believe them. But will it save De Koninck from the plummeting sales of amber ale?
