Pours gold into an English pint. Bright white head crackles and recedes to skim surface. Apple skin aromas. Soft with mild apple front to back. Really nothing special going on here...

Sampled from a 12 oz clear bottle this cider poured a golden color with a trace white head that faded quickly. The aroma was dry, a bit nutty and had a faint apple presence with touches of yeast, spice and champagne. The flavor was dry, tart champagne and apple. Short tart finish. Light body. Subpar.

440ml can bought at Sainsbury’s. Pale gold with plenty of fizz. Sweet, baked apple aroma. Flavour was vaguely appley with plenty of sugar and a syrupy finish. Just as well I only paid 20p for it.

[Keg at the Stone Gallows, nr Taunton] Pale gold with, oddly, a small white head (nitrokegged cider??!!) and a slight fizz. Far too sweet, chemical and dishwater hints hang over a slight fake apple candy flavour, but blandness is the main order of the day. Gets worse as it warms. Dreadful, industrial pale lagers are better on the whole.

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan. No real head. Mellow sugary green apple aroma. Not as sweet and thick as some ciders. Candy green apple tones, medium body. Rather straightforward, not a cloying as numerous other examples of the style. Kind of boring but still drinkable.

500ml can. Pours light gold with no head. Aroma is like a tramps breath. Sourish start. Sweet apples on the dry finish.

Bottle from SB 2005! AR/F: wee apple, bitter, and ver dry! Don’t wanna buy it again so that is why rating is short!

Can from a Coop. Its a bland cider with vague apple and no character. Not sweet not dry just bland apple mush on the finish. Pretty dull.

Had years ago at a local restaurant. I thought it was beer at first sip! Indeed, it was a poor excuse for a cider, but I did end up finishing it. Another sadly mass-produced attempt at cider that’s probably aiming at beer fans, thus it is neither here nor there and not anything particularily great by any measure.
