Beim Geruch dominiert der malzig-würzige Charakter in harmonischem Einklang mit einer typischen, leicht fruchtigen Weissbiernote, bevor sich im Antrunk ein zartbitterer, vollmundig-würziger Geschmack verschiedenster Malzaromen entfaltet. [backlog] 13-11-15 / bottle at Porterhouse Mainz. Dark wheat, yeasty, banana cake, spicy. I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. Bottle split at Maisels Bamberg during the Bamberg Jolly. Pours clear, rich brown with a creamy, off-white tan head. Good stuff, with lots of toasted bread, brown bread, light dough, fine cocoa. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Good balance to finish, more toasted bread, dough, faint earthy bitterness. Excellent dunkel. Highly drinkable.

0.5l bottle. Hazy brown body, huge off-white head. Aroma of banana, caramel, peach and toast. Taste of banana, caramel, cherry and peach. A bit thin for me, but still nice.

50 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Plus, Culemborg. Hazy light brown with an off-white head. Malty aroma. Sweet taste with that typical wheat creaminess. Some bitterness also. Decent dunkelweizen but a bit too thin.

Flasche (50 cl) von Getränke Hoffmann. - Goldbraun, trüb; ein Berg von Schaum. - Nase mild süßlich-karamelmalzig mit feinen obergärigen Weizennoten, etwas Nelke und ganz milder Zitrusfrucht. - Antrunk frisch getreidig-malzig aber wenig süß, statt dessen betonte Gewürznoten (Nelke), zarte fruchtige Säure (leicht unreife Banane, Kirsche) und ein Hauch von Schokolade. Kaum herb. Mild rezent, hefig weich im Mund, schön erfrischend. Im Abgang kaum Hopfen aber nachwirkende Gewürznoten. - Angenehmes, mildes Weizen, aber zum Ende hin etwas dünn.

On tap at Prost! Boise. Pours out a hazy dark brown. Creamy beige head, fades but still covers the beer. Nice nutty, toasty aroma. Taste follows, slightly sweet, decent body, but not as thick as I’d like. Still great to find a real weizen in the States.
