In collaboration with Metallica, this beer represents the cataclysmic collision of two uncompromising supernatural forces. It's a crisp and refreshing Pilsner that, much like the band, transcends genres, shatters preconceptions and challenges convention.
It's on. It's time to get started. To crank things up. To get loud. That thumping you feel in your chest isn't your imagination. It's your heart. It's life. It's the rockin' tunes. It's your inspiration wanting to break out. It ain't gonna sit there waiting, so motherfucking grab it. This is a collaboration in the truest sense between two entities that were born on the fringes. We've navigated life from a different perspective. We imagined things differently from what they were, and set about using our art to change the world according to our vision. We started being misunderstood by many, and loved by few. Today that's the same...but that 'few' has become 'more'. A LOT more. That's you, my friend, and we're stoked you're with us on this journey. The day is winding down. It's time to get started. No more waiting. It's time to get LOUD. It's time to Enter Night.

Can from Raj piva. Gives its secrets away right from the pour (yes, I poured). Basically the commercial description gets it right. It is a mostly clean lager, though some basementy yeast character is assertively present. The bitterness is restrained to only slightly above standard lager levels - I would even say within German pale lager standards. The hops character is slightly above though, being citrusy, grassy. Easy drinking. Good.

Slightly hazy golden yellow coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall pure white head with a few bubbles rising from the bottom, but nothing effervescent. Aroma of grass, light citrus, a bunch of perfume and a dash of hay that shows nicely, if not quite mild. Light-bodied; Strong grassy and floral aspect up front with a touch of pine and grain noticeable, but more of the herbal and flower flavours than anything, but it does end with a faint citrus sweetness, especially at the finish. Aftertaste shows a grassy and bitter dry note with a touch of foreign (German/Czech?) Hops that don't show many alpha acids, but do show a lot of complexity. Overall a simple and relatively elegant ant straight-forward beer that shows the malt and floral notes without anything out of the ordinary or pungent, but fairly subdued, especially in terms of the other more astringent or offensive aspects. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized pour on draught at Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 19-August-2019 for US$5,00.

Can from Spicy Days. As Stone Berlin Enter Night Pilsner. Pale clear golden body, white head. Creamy, flowery-fruity aroma, with light grainy touches, not bad. Grainy light taste, soft tropical notes, creamy, ending in a mild bitter finish. A classic hoppy lager/india pale lager, not a classic pilsner, really glad to have tried it!

16 ounce can from Woodman's Appleton, 8/15/19. Hazy pale yellow. Large frothy white head, good retention. Aroma of floral, herbal, almost mentolish hops (yes, I just coined the word mentolish). Pale bready malts and some addition green, earthy hops. Taste is... HOLD MY BREATH INSIDE WISH FOR DEATH!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, you bet I'm listening to Metallic while ticking this! Taste is citrus hops, earth, resin, pale malt, mild breadiness. Strong lingering bitterness, crisp, well balances.

0,5 l Berlin can from Erzengel. Thanks a lot. Unclear pale golden with an off white more than three finger head. Smells citrus hopy. Taste starts with an intensive hop bitterness and citrus.Yeasty. Too high carbonated. Consistent bitterness to the aftertaste but less grainy or malty. Okay.
