Can at home sourced online. An almost clear deep amber brown coloured pour with a frothy beige head. Aroma is nice resinous pine, floral notes, almost medicine pine, some woody toasted malts. Flavour is composed of toasted malts, bitter piney hop, bitter resin, little varnishy. Agressive bitterness. Bitter orange. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, sticky resinous, moderate carbonation. Overall it's just too bitter. Lingering hop pellets.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced via Cloudwater. Pours lightly hazy brown with a foamy, tan head. I love amber ales, but this one misses the mark. Quite bitter, actually a bit astringent, with aggressive grassy bitterness, toasted grain husk, orange peel, dry pine. Light to medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Finishes with further aggressive grassy bitterness, burnt toast, earth, leaves, citrus peel. Lingering harsh leafy-grassy aftertaste. This was a disappointment.
