A vivid golden bitter, designed to offer pale beer with real taste and aromatic impact. The initial bitterness is followed by a surprising sweetness culminating with a long dry finish.

Flaske 0,5l fra Kilpishalli. Skibotn 8 Okt 11. Lys gylden. Gulskjær. Høyt kremaktig skum med en markert topp. Mye bobler på glasset. Svakt fruktig aroma. Litt mandler. Sammensatt fruktig smak. Aprikos i forgrunnen. Litt fersken. Smaken litt vassen med ei tydelig tørr avslutning. Godt butikkøl.

500ml bottle, many thanks to Finn. Fair, fluffy white head with fine retention, blanketing the glassware. Dark golden body with a slight haze. Mild aroma of bready malts and floral hops. Leafy and resin-like hops in flavour along with notes of honey. Discreet dry bitter tail. Foamy in the mouth. Satisfying and not diluted at all (at home on Friday eve, Tromsø 02.12.2011).

Bottle from Lake Forest in Folsom. Pours gold with a creamy bubbly head. Light floral/fruit aromas over a suggestion of malt. Maybe a little bready. Mild carb. Med minus body. Flavor is more floral than anything, but there’s some noble grassiness in the background. I’ve just eaten a carrot, and apparently that wipes out any malt notes. Or maybe there weren’t any. Pretty light in every way.

Bottled 500ml (K-Isolinna, BB 03/2012)
Clear golden color, small white head. Nose has some citrus and peachy fruityness - suprised to read that Saaz is used here, feels more English. Light body. Bitter citrus, elderflower and orange peel in the flavor Fruity citrusy aftertaste. In theory good, but flavors are not very strong. I suppose that bottled version is not "bottle conditioned". At least it is filtered.

500 ml bottle, a Christmas present from my nephew Einar, thanks! ABV is 4.1%. Golden colour, moderate white head, nice lacing. Moderate aroma, hints of citrus and elderflower. The flavour is fresh and zesty with notes of citrussy hops, also hints of tropical fruits, but the beer is not sweet. A firm bitterness in the finish, very nice. A decent refreshment ale.

Bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen and Papsoe. A clear beer, yellowish golden in color and with a nice off-white head leaving lacings. English nose with some citrus and meaty pale malts. Dry, medium body, and a flavor pretty much like the aroma, but with more emphasis on the malts. Low on bitterness. A decent beer for sure, but too boring to make me want a revisit. 100814
