Bottle @ Steve’s Foco. Thanks Steve. Pours a reddish brown, clear appearance with a brown head. Burnt chocolate, light smoke, light butterscotch, caramel, a touch meaty aroma. A little buttery. Twangy, burnt caramel, chocolate flavor. A little oily. First La Cumbre beer that I didn’t like.

On draft at the brewpub in Albuquerque. Pours black with a tan head. Light smoky nose. More intense smoky flavor of peat with a hint of coffees and chocolate. Bitter finish.
