50cl bottle from CM-Vantaa. Poured almost black with a brown head. Aroma is chocolate cookies, mild coffee and roasted malt. Flavor has coffee, roasted malt and milk chocolate coming trhough in the finish. Overall OK, but some plastic/articifial thing in the aroma lowers the point a little.

Flaske 0,5l fra Kilpishalli. Skibotn 7 Okt 11. Dyprød/sort. OK kremaktig & litt farget skum som varer en stund. God sjokolade & kaffearoma. Veldig balansert smak med innslag av lakris & vanilje. Fin tørr, bitter ettersmak som varer. Koseøl. KI=7

500ml bottle by the courtesy of Finn. Gets full score for its beautiful appearance, including the stylish bottle design. Decent off-white head, slowly declining, over a deep, rosewood coloured body. Good amount of lacework. Mid-sweet malty nose with a hint of dark fruits. Malty base to the taste buds, roasted and ashy dry, alongside notes of prunes and dark chocolate. Vague hints of lactose. Bittersweet malty ending. Soft in the mouth and easy-drinking. Not bad at all (Tromsø, 03.12.2011).

Bottle. Deep brown body with red highlights. Big tan head, slowly diminishing. The aroma has notes of roasted malts, licorice, smoke, ash and a hint of caramel. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Medium to thin body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Initial tastes of roasted and burnt malt with some caramel sweetness behind it. The finish leaves the taste of Necco licorice wafers along with some bitter coffee. Dry.

500 ml bottle, a Christmas present from my nephew Einar, thanks! ABV is 4.6%. Black colour, big to moderate tan head, nice lacing. Moderate aroma of roasted malts, some fruity hints. The flavour is crisp, fairly dry and moderately roasty throughout, hints of lemons (is Cascade in a stout really a good idea?). Very drinkable, but not the most impressive stout I’ve had.
