Švyturio Baltas is a long-standing member of the traditional collection. This type of beer has a wide range of flavours and scents: aroma of banana, subtle notes of cloves and citrus fruits. The aroma of fruits goes perfect with a dry and quite sour taste of beer. The unfiltered and cloudy beer is recommended to be served in a chilled glass with a slice of lemon.

Flaske 0,5l på ølseminar i Tårnrommet 13 Nov 13. Uklar. Lys aprikosfarget. Høyt kremaktig skum som varer lenge. Forsiktig sitrusaroma. Litt lacing. Svakt søtlig smak. Tung-drikkelig. Blir bare søt uten variasjon. Veldig uklar i siste kvelling.

Bottle from corner shop not known for its promotion of craft beer. Pours an incredibly hazy orange-yellow. Perfect carbonation and white foamy head. Aroma of lemon, cinnamon, a trace of barnyard funk: comes together nicely. Taste is a letdown: thin, bitter/sour and unfocused. Slightly sweet finish which carries the flavour nicely, followed by a bitter/sour aftertaste. Not perfect but has promise; may try again as I’m not sure the bottle is the freshest.

Cloudy yellow, tall rocky white head, fades quickly. Nose of spicy yeast, wheat, banana. Light body. Thin to oily texture. The flavour is rather dry with lots of spice, fruity sourness & a note of white bread. Low bitterness getting obvious in aftertaste. Decent Hefe.

500ml bottle thanks to Jan Erik for sharing. Creamy white head, unclear golden coloured body. Smell of sweet, dry lemon and grass. Mid-sweet orange fruity flavours joined by a bite of coriander. Wheaty backbone. Dry fruity ending. Medium to thin bodied. Refreshing and just alright (November grain session, Tromsø 13.11.2013).

Pale Hazy Yellow, Medium Head, Some Spotty Lacing. Orange, wheat, Clove, just barely a note of bubble gum. More like a whit-bier than hefeweizen. Nevertheless easy to drink and refreshing. Decent.

500ml bottle. Pours a hazy lemon gold with a large, fluffy head. Aroma is spicy, lots of coriander with a touch of bubblegum. Taste has some lemon to start, lots of coriander and a touch of bubblegum in the aftertaste.

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. I picked up this fella at one a little Russian shop near King William IV. Pours cloudy, peach yellow with a strong, creamy white crown. Classic Belgian witbier nose, lots of wheat, coriander, some dough. Light sweet flavor, some doughy malts, metallic crispness, light spices, some white sugar, mild lemon. Light bodied with average carbonation. Crisp finish, light herbal bitterness, some white bread, dough, mild lemony citrus notes, some yeast. The character lacks thrust, but it’s still a very drinkable bevy.
