Švyturio Baltas is a long-standing member of the traditional collection. This type of beer has a wide range of flavours and scents: aroma of banana, subtle notes of cloves and citrus fruits. The aroma of fruits goes perfect with a dry and quite sour taste of beer. The unfiltered and cloudy beer is recommended to be served in a chilled glass with a slice of lemon.

Bottled 500ml (ABV 5.0%, Maxima, Vilnius, BB 08/2011)
Hazy yellow color, good white head. Aroma of overriped banana and glue. Meidum-bodied. Banana flavor with strong clove spiceyness. Very German but a bit too glueish/sticky spicey for my liking.

(bottle) Cloudy, yellow colour with a tall and rocky foamy white head. Typical Weizen scent: sweet and yeasty wheat-malty aroma with notes of banana and a mildly clovy touch. Sweet flavour with traces of sourness, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Pronounced wheat-character with banana-fruity notes, a tinge of citrus and yeasts; sweet and mildly sour-fruity finish with a clovy touch in the aftertaste. A fairly decent Weizen. 28.XII.10

Bottle: Pale golden, hazy, big - and quite stable - rocky white head; citrussy and yeasty wheaty nose, some bananas underneath; light to moderate sourish-sweetish flavour, light bodied but quite soft; citrussy flavours in the mild sweet and yeasty-wheaty finish. Really refreshing Baltic Weizen......

Sampled from a 500 ml brown bottle this beer p0ured a very cloudy orange-golden color with a medium sized white head that lingers and produces some lacing. The aroma was wheaty with notes of clove, banana and faint bubblegum. The flavor was sweetish and tart with notes of lemon, bubblegum, faint clove and hints of must and pepper. The finish was long and wheaty with lingering citrus and clove. Somewhat full bodied. Solid.
