La Battin Gambrinus est une bière blonde, de type Pils. Avec sa robe jaune dorée très intense, ornée d’une belle couronne de mousse, cette bière libère de subtils arômes mêlés à de discrets parfums de houblon. En bouche, une exquise douceur de malt se ressent sur la langue. Agréable et douce, la Battin Gambrinus dégage aussi une très légère amertume.

33 cl bottle at Hollenfels castle’s youth hostel, served in its own glassware. Pours bright golden with a thick, abundant, frothy and long-lasting ivory head. Aroma is mild bread, citrus, some grass, a hint of iron filings, a touch of vanilla. Mouthfeel is creamy, dense, low carb. Mouth-covering and well structured. Not very bitter, medium-lasting finish. Nice, it’s not as bad as it looks in this web.

F: big, white, average to good retention. C: deep gold, clear. A: malt, hint of butter, floral, caramel, bread. T: malt, bread, caramel, in this relatively low ABV even alcohol, medium body, low to medium carbonation, a little above average and not bad, 0,33l bottle from Cactus in la Belle Etoile shopping center in Luxembourg.

On tap pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is corn caramel bread some earthy tones. Taste is more of the corn some grain malt sweetness and a little spice.

Can from Auchan, Luxembourg. Pours clear pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of sweet corn, grain, and grass. Medium to heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Re-rate. Tap at Brasserie Cathedrale, Luxembourg City. A lot better from tap.

Clear medium golden colour, average frothy white head, diminishing slowly, heavy lacing. Aroma malt, grain, hay. Flavour medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grainy, bit metallic. Mild sweetbitter aftertaste, medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, acceptable average lager.

Bottle thanks to Benzai - 90th country tick. Pours gold white head. Nose/taste of sweet grain, corn and syrupy malt - medium body.

Draught @ Brasserie Cathedrale. Aroma has sweetish grainy malt and mild buttery tones. Flavour has menthol, grainy malt, some cerral and hay. Pretty basic.
