*33cl. Grainy smooth beginning. Nice dark malts there, caramel with a grainy and not too deep back. Moderate long aftertaste, smooth grainy malty with not too much bitterness. Solid.

On tap at Brasserie Cathdral, pours a deep dark brown with an amber tinge and a large beige head. Nose reveals tart fruits, some bready notes, and a hint of toasted caramel. Flavour likewise delivers that tartness, with light caramel and bready malt. Not very sophisticated, and not convinced that tartness is intentional or proper. Drinkable but only just.

11.2 ounce bottle as Bofferding Brune Beer from Festival Foods Northland, 12/8/19. I'm putting this here because the ABV matches and the two brands seem to be related. Hazy reddish brown, large frothy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, cherry, yeast. Taste is spice, leaves, cherry, toffee, caramel. Medium bodied, low bitterness, sweet overall, just a hint of a medicinal quality. Decent.

Fles gekocht bij de Bofferding brouwerij, geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een donker roodbruin bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een moutige geur. De smaak is moutig zoet, rozijnen en wat kruidig in de afdronk.

Crystal brown, light bubbles in the head. Super caramel malty nose. WOW this one is sweet as liquid candy. Lightly hopped with earthy pez notes (if that's possible).
