La Battin Blanche est une blanche de type Witbier. Désaltérante par excellence, cette bière présente une robe jaune clair légèrement trouble, un voile soyeux et une mousse somptueuse. Douce, moelleuse et légèrement fruitée grâce à ses saveurs d’agrumes et de coriandre, la Battin Blanche est brassée avec un froment de qualité, qui accentue l’harmonie des saveurs.

0,33 l bottle from Erzengel. Thanks a lot! Cloudy pale golden to flat yellow with a more than one finger head in the glass. Pale wheat, some yeast and sweetness on the nose. Low coriander. Taste starts fruity, orange, sweetness, pale grain, increasing dry in the background. Above average carbonation. I like this stuff.

On tap at The Tube, pours a cloudy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with coriander upfront, with light citrus and wheaty notes. Flavour is loaded with intense coriander, though it tastes rather artificial; fairly floral finish. Not convincing.

Sampled at THT. Hazy pale yellow with white head. Sugary grains, coriander, dull wheat, lemon candy, weird herbs, grass, weird chemical candy notes. Light sweet, bitter and tart. Under medium bodied.

330ml bottle at Pizza Hut in Luxembourg City - hazy yellow body rocky top. Nose of banana and cloves similar in the taste. Light bitterness at the end. Nice beer.

Das Blanche ist in Luxemburg offenbar derart beliebt, dass es sogar große Industrie-Brauereien herstellen. Es dabei eher unspektakulär und hat den typischen leichten, etwas fruchtigen Geschmack. Es gibt sicher bessere und vor allem gehaltvollere Biere dieses Types, aber es ist auf jeden Fall nicht schlecht.
