A generous, yet deft additional of vanilla beans contributes a silky, custard-meets-marshmallow aroma that pops from the glass as soon as the beer is poured. Dried dark fruit and oaky tones follow suit, greeting the palate on top of a plush mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Slightly warming, with a tart character reminiscent of dark cherries, Vanilla Threads offers an intricate drinking experience.

Bottle [2019 bottle] shared at tasting. Opaque black color, average sized beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, apple brandy, vanilla, tart unfortunately so I guess slightly infected, nonetheless quite alright still. Soft soy sauce and roast. Sweetish and a bit sticky texture. Solid but past it's prime unfortunately.

Keg at Cloudwater Family & Friends 2020, Manchester Central, day two session one 21/02/20. Light black with a good sized tan covering. Nose is sweet malts, chocolate, coffee bean, pinch of spice. Taste comprises chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar melt, light spice, big sweet blast. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Decent kit ... touch on the sweet side but pulls through.

No head, dark brown still beer with yellow highlights. Bourbon, rumcake, vanilla, ice cream with nuts & alcohol. Sweet, almondy (! more than the almonds' version!), vanilla indeed, strawberry, higher alcohols. Very thick, viscous, alcoholheat, chewy. Boozy alcoholic, but this version tastes more of almonds than the Almond!
