Op tap bij Beer Temple. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Geur van koffieprut, gemalen espressobonen, sigarettenpeuken maar vooral door de koffie, gebrande mout, pure chocolade, groene paprika, bitter. Medium body. Niet echt lekker geïntegreerd qua smaken.

From Beer Drop, canned October 27th 2025.
It pours black with a fine head of tan foam. Very good lacing and retention.
The smell is big coffee, roasted malt, some cocoa. Bitter overall. Some smoke comes through.
The taste is coffee, roasted malt, cocoa, smoke is a nice addition. Tasty son of a gun.
Medium bodied with medium carbonation, I would drink this again.

Can.
A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, light brown head.
A- Roasty, cocoa, earthy, burnt coffee.
F- Roasty, slightly vegetal, earthy, dry, cocoa.
T- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish.
O- Been a want list beer of mine for some time but it didn't live up to the hype. Maybe 10 years ago, but now not so much. It needed more smoke and more coffee. Maybe the imperial version would be better. Not bad but not worth getting excited for.

Pint can from Bottlecraft North Park. Luggage trip home & asleep for a few weeks in the fridge.
Pint glass. Black on brown molasses pour with a uniform tan head.
Dense fudge & berry nose. Very mild beechwood. Tiny whiff of soap.
Sooty, bittersweet leaning sweet. Burnt cookies & sharp n acidic mocha coffee. Lingering burnt sugar char with some cocoa butter. Some dark berry acidity on the backwash. Lingering ashy bitterness. Very stout.
Frothy, boozy, almost twangy acid mixed with the earthy bitterness makes me confused about the pH. Wanted less coffee & more smoke.
Have had better smoked porters.

Can. Pretty much black with a near cm of tan head. Nice fruity lightly roasted coffee aroma with gentle roast and chocolate brioche behind. Somewhat creamy texture. Coffee somewhat reluctantly gives way to chocolate and a little smokey bite towards a bitter finish. A bit too driven by the coffee but very good.

Can, thanks Fin! Enjoyed alongside the first attempt at homemade æbleskiver. Black, thick dark brown cream. Wood smoke, some pipe tobacco as well - but maybe just because I am expecting it. dark chocolate and ganache notes, creamy cocoa on the palate. Vanilla, nice roast, coffee dry and broad cocoa. Very nice.

Can, thanks Fin! Dark with a coffee head. Chocolate ganache, chalky, dark chocolate, coffee, cherry. Creamy fluffy, light, cream, chocolate, tobacco, coffee. Deep and full, soft and fluffy. I like.

From tap at Cellarmaker, San Francisco. Aroma is smooth coffee, subtle smoke, lactic creamy, mocha, chocolate. Flavour is mild sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with a creamy texture. Damn amazing Porter, the Imperial variety will probably destroy me. This is god-tier level drinkability and balance.
