A lightly smoked coffee porter made with a touch of German beechwood smoked malt as well as high quality English malts to create a chocolaty, roasty, base beer. Then, add two pounds of Sightglass Colombian Finca Madrigal coffee per barrel for an intense but refined coffee character.

Smoky, roasty coffee, looks thicker than it tastes.

Dark brown, thin head. The smoke is light and malts on the burnt side. Medium body, has some dryness. Touch of malt sweetness. It’s not bad - the sort of beer I would have absolutely loved in the late 90s but it’s mostly just ok now.

From a pint can. Pours a murky cola brown with a small tan head. Aromas of coffee and roasted nuts. Flavors are lightly bitter and smoky roast coffee.

Black with thin head. Huge coffee aroma, roasty and intense. Flavour is less good. A bit old, stale, grassy.

Freezing Midtown bottle share. Dark brown pour, bit of foam. Coffee, tobacco and some bacon. Quite nice thick and dry feel. Tastes spicy, tobacco and medium body. Dry roast. Pleasant tobacco linger. Quite nice one, liking this leathery roast quite a lot.
