32oz crowler from Angel’s Trumpet pours with a clear copper to gold hued body that supports a full off white head of foam. The aroma offers up grassy, herbal, a dash of grapefruit and then floral hop notes that come together in less than an ideal way here as a thin ribbon of pine resiny hops and malt sweetness aren’t really helping matters. The taste begins in a modest fashion with malts and quickly growing grassy hops where a faint wort sensation is noticed in the background. It then picks up floral hop bitterness, some grapefruit and resiny pine hops. Midway and into the finish a light yet disruptive sweet caramel malt note tries to close off the resiny hops but doesn’t succeed. I think i’m nit picking to a degree because stepping back and looking at the big picture this provides a nice level of hoppiness with bitter and resiny hops in the forefront.

A pale clear beer with a small head of foam and pretty good lacing.
The smell isn’t strong but what’s there is strikingly bitter. Mostly grass, floral hops and grapefruit, and an aroma very like hop oils.
Grapefruit, grassy hops, quite the bitter brew with just a hint of malt as in bready malt.
The hops hit you up front, mid palate, and in the long lasting finish with, again, a hop oil like character.
Medium body and carbonation with a slick coating of bitterness on my tongue.
Well, this sure is one bitter son of a gun and wears on me by the time I finished this can
Yet, I might reach for another just to confirm what I think aboot it.;^)

Pours clear bright gold with a thick, tall, chunky off-white head. Aroma of fruity hops and juicy sweet malt. The flavor is slightly bitter, but there is too much malt sweetness in this one. Other wise decent, but save this one for someone who isn’t looking for the hops.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but was recently released in Michigan. Pours fairly crystal clear deep gold color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, lime, tangerine, grapefruit, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity and balance of citrus/pine hops and moderate malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, lime, tangerine, grapefruit, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, lime, apricot, tangerine, grapefruit, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice complexity of citrus/pine hops with moderate malt sweetness; with a good malt/bitterness balance and some slightly cloying bitterness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice IPA. Good complexity and balance of citrus/pine hops with moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Pours a cloudy, light golden-yellow, with lots of head (when I opened the bottle, foam started oozing out). Strong aroma of hops. Flavor is very bitter, with lots of hops and just a touch of something else underlying it--can’t quite put my finger on it. Almost Brett-like underflavor. Finish is quite bitter as well. Interesting IPA, not quite up to par for me.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Central Market, 7/24/13
Aroma: The nose is clean and hoppy, some nice citrus, and some caramel malts as well
Appearance: It pours a clearish golden color with a small, fizzy white head and some light lace
Flavor: The taste is very similar to the nose component-wise, but not quite as clean
Palate: Medium, leaning light, body, a little overly carbonated, finishes with a mid-plus dryness
Overall Impression: For my VA Tech friends, I don't think this beer is a shout out to your odd turkey mascot, sorry! Anyway, this is a solid IPA, but it has some flaws as well. I thought the aroma worked a touch better than the flavor, and the carbonation hurts the drinkability. Still though, its decent stuff.

Bomber from Corti Bros. Pours translucent gold with a foamy off-white head. Aroma of citrus and caramel - with some floral. Med body, almost. Flavor is hoppy, but sort of citrus/earthy/floral. Almost like dirt in a way. The malt is lost in space. This hovers on the edge of greatness, but somehow the flavor doesn’t quite make it. Finishes hoppy and somewhat bitter - halfway to NW - and for a non-DIPA it’s doing really well.

Drank in Denver for GABF 2012. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A sweet crisp nose of floral and citrus hops. Basic clean and sweet hoppy flavors with little bitterness, some lemon, lingering sweetness. Good.

Tap @ the Inaugural Boulder IPA Fest. Pours a hazy golden appearance with an off white head. Spicy hoppy, piney, lightly dank aroma. Tangy citrusy, bitter, herbal hoppy flavor. Ok.
