A red beer with attitude, a super tasty hoppy red ale with great hop flavour and lovely attractive maltiness. Ruby Red with off white head, candyfloss and biscuit aroma, red berri and sweet pine finishing with a plesent bitterness to blance the deep red malts.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [150117]
Copper red, hazy, off white frothy head
Aroma of red fruits, orange and strawberry, dab of sweet caramel malt, lots of brown malts
Taste of fruity caramel, red berry fruits, toffee caramel apple, rather malty
Palate - Medium carb and body. Finish is quite dry, some toasted malt, fairly bitter hop finish
Overall - Found this a bit of a an odd showcase for simcoe hops, rather malty. Not one of their best tbh.
