Gruut White beer is very aromatic with a fragant fruity smell and a slightly herbaceous sharpness. The body is light, but soft. Thanks to the spices, the flavors are ‘round’, very fine and complex. The first impression is a spicy dryness, but there is also a slight, creamy sweetness underlying.

Yay, traditional Medieval no hop, all spices wit beer // draft sample @ GBF 2012 // hazy pale citrus coloured with a white head // smell is touch neutral, sweetish citrus & edging at the least towards spice heavy, hint herb and yeast // starting out with slightly watery citrus, tad sweetish, wheat, belgian yeast, light white bread, mellow finishing with nice spices // bit watery but overall quite nice // interesting idea to see & to try as well

33cl bottle.

5/I/2012 on tap @ Gruut - BB: n/a (2012-10) Thanks to Joris for the company

Very cloudy pale yellow beer, pretty big white creamy head, stable and adhesive. Aroma: citrus, wheat, some spices, a little sweet sugary note. MF: good carbon, light to medium body. Taste: pretty sour start, grains, wheat, but also a sweet honeyed touch. Aftertaste: sour, little bitter, spices, citric ending.

33cl bottle from Bierzwerg, BBE 01/2013. Poured pale yellow with an everlasting white head, nice lacing. Strong wheat, spicy, yeasty aroma. Flavor is very similar, quite fizzy, sodalike. High drinkability.

Bottle @ home shared with DutchDrebus. Great color for a Belgian White: pale white / light yellow, small white head. Smell and taste not very spectaculair but decent. Low body and carbo.
