To craft LIA FAIL our brewers selected flavour packed dark crystal and chocolate malts. This combination creates a warming malty body bursting with nutty, chocolate notes that we have balanced with spicy aromas from Cascade and Fuggles hops. It finishes full, mellow and satisfying.

Malts: Pale ale, Dark Crystal, Chocolate, Wheat

Sampled @ Finest Spirits and Beer Convention Bochum 2014: Orangegoldene Farbe, ordentliche weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, Karamell, würzig. Geschmack mild malzig, scharf getreidig, etwas Karamell.

Cask at JDW Bishop Vesey; clear dark chestnut pour with a creamy off white head, aroma is nutty with dried fruit, taste has roast, caramel, autumn leaves, biscuit.

500ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a thick, lingering, frothy head. Malty sweet aroma, matched by the taste although the aftertaste is quite bitter. Good

0,5L bottle. Pours hazy very hazy amber with off-white head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is sweet, flowers, honey, and hops. Flavor is sweet, malt, citrus, nuts. Finish is dry and nutty bitter. Overall: solid brew.

On keg at Teuchters. Appearance - toffee coloured with quite a fla5 head Nose - toffee and some nuts. Taste - more of the same. Palate - medium bodied with a rich texture and a relatively balanced finish. A little sweet but xan live with that. Overall - better than I’d remembered. Really not bad at all. Premium bitter with a hint of Scotch Ale going on.

500ml bottle at home. Pours copper red, nice off-white head. Aromas of butterscotch, malt and toffee. Taste is nicely bitter. Finishes thin and watery.

Brun med rødskjær, og hat ett offvite skum. Lukter malt og karamell, og smaker det samme men ikke så søt som lukten er. Medium kullsyre og bitterhet.
