To craft LIA FAIL our brewers selected flavour packed dark crystal and chocolate malts. This combination creates a warming malty body bursting with nutty, chocolate notes that we have balanced with spicy aromas from Cascade and Fuggles hops. It finishes full, mellow and satisfying.

Bottle at pub. Has a clear amber colour with a small off-white head. A not very aromatic beer but I sence sweet malt, some caramel and dried fruits. The flavour is better with fudge, some wood and berries. Feels slick in the mouth, and is a bit carbonated. Light bitterness. In the end a decent ale with a nice balance.

500 ml bottle bought at ICA Stavanger. Pours with a rich creamy head which slowly turns into lace curtains. Fruity, tempting aroma which certainly does not disappoint. Velvety mouthfeel with beautifully balanced hops, not too sweet. Slightly bisquity aftertaste. A very fine ale indeed and well worth the extra money. Fra fat pΓ₯ Cardinal juni 13 er inntrykket at dette er en grei nok og lett syrlig forfriskning, men heller uinteressant. Antakelig fordi den kom rett etter Heen&weer fra De Molen.

Cask at Ma Camerons, Aberdeen. Pours clear, copper-gold with a fine, white foam head. Bit of herbal hops and leaves in the nose. Light sweet flavor with tea-like character. Plenty of herbal bitterness, some citrus rind, burnt leaves. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry to finish, with persistent herbal notes, dry grass. Iβm not a huge fan of this beer, though the condition could be slightly off.

Amber with a white head - hints of malt and hops in the aroma - malt body with some hops that lingers for some time into the finish - ok

Bitter. Bitter. Bitter. A beer this bitter can only be brewed by men who wear skirts their entire life. Some other flavours come up when the beer warms up a bit. A nice experience, but something just doesnβt fit.

Bottle from Peckhams Union Square. It pours clear dark amber, with a fluffy off-white head and moderate carbonation. The nose is wood, nut, roasted malt and a little chlorine. The taste is wood, nut, charcoal, roasted malt, chocolate and some underlying brown sugar, with long bitter-dry finish. Nice balance. A very drinkable ESB.

0.5l bottle. Pours a clear deep ruby body with some dark floaters and a big bubbly beige head. Aroma is loaded with caramel, notes of hops and dark fruits, some thick coffee and a little bit nice butter. Quite nice and not at all what I expected. Soft carbonation, has a watery body and some what light-bodied. Nice thin caramel flavors mixed with some near-roasted flavors. Ends in a medium bitter finish and leaving a mineral-water-like aftertaste. Not in any way a fail even if the name somehow could suggest it.
