Honeyed malts combine with citrussy Cascade and peachy Amarillo hops for a quenching, balanced bitterness. A great sessionable golden ale perfect for any season.

Cask at source. Clear gold obvs. Tight white head. Pretty yeasty and very malty. Smelled a bit Wards-ish, which was a good thing. Light sweet. Fair bitterness. Easy going malt forward bitter (it’s not a pale ale).

Cask at the Fat Cat, Sheffield on 20th February 2025. Bright golden amber with shallow white foam and full lacing. Rich grassy hoppiness in aroma. Bitter and grassy in-mouth and a satisfyingly bitter finish. Light bodied with smooth mouthfeel. Exquisite.

Half cask at brewery. Bright golden pour, one finger creamy white head, solid coating on the glass all the way down. Light biscuity aroma, bready. Taste is malty, white bread, tiny bitter bite. So creamy on cask.

On tap at the brewery. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of biscuit and faint lemon. Taste is more of the same. Standard golden ale. Thin finish.

hand-pulled half-pint in the Boot Micropub, Wellington on 4th March 2023. Clear golden pour, white topping. Nice easy going blend of piney hops and semi-sweet malts, liked it.

Cask at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a golden yellow with a fair-sized white head. Not a terrific aroma but some evidence of lemongrass and sweet malts. Sweet malts are the initial sensation in the mouth, but they are soon joined by light grains, herbs and a little citrus. Finish is slightly bitter. Reasonable but rather dull.
