1.2 Litre bottle drank off the coast of Mexico in my Cunard Stateroom on 31 Jan 2013. I really enjoyed this: it had a good amber body and was clean and clear looking, a thin off-white head sat on top of each pour. Maltier than I expected and overall a fine (for such a cheap brew) beer. Refreshing and tasty (the malts giving it some flavour and sweetness, the hops giving some bite).

A reddish copper beer with a thin off white head. In aroma, clasaic lager with mineral notes, and light sulfur. In mouth, a watery caramel with grassy german hops, soapy and mineral. Bottle from Oxxo, 10 pesos.

Bottle from Hi-Time. Pours ruddy dark amber with a very transient head. Moderate malty aroma. Little hop noticeable. Med + body. Flavor is malty in a lightly roasty way. Could pass for Oktoberfest. It’s not exactly dry, and it’s moderately bitter. Could do for a session beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small frothy white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is caramel malt and raisin. Thin mouthfeel with a rich malt and caramel with metallic finish. A decent American dark lager.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear light brown with a ruby hue. Aroma of caramel and something slightly sour. Maybe a little corn. Taste is light sweet. Corn and cotton candy with a hint of caramel and some green apple. Light bodied with a thin texture. Soft carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. Nothing to seek out but I’ll enjoy this one. Much better than your typical Mexican pale lagers.

Bottle at a Mexican restaurant in Lombard: No Way Jose. Served with a frosted mug. Meh. But at least he asked first if I wanted a lime. Nice brown pour, leaving a thin layer of foam. Smell from the bottle carries a good dose of brown malt. Taste also has mellow brown malts. I think there’s some corn, but it’s not that obvious. The mug is causing icy bits of beer to form, so I’m doing most of the rating from the bottle. There I get a good impression of a smooth amber beer with a clean lager finish and no graininess. A good palate cleanser for the really spicy salsa this place serves. Filling, and leaves a good "burp," too.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Tan head with excellent retention recedes leaving sheet lacing. Malt aromas. Sweet and thin with caramel front to back.

Bottle at a tasting. Thanks mom for this bottle! Clear amber color. Aroma of toasted malt, a bit of caramel and biscuits and a grainy hint. Sweetish flavor with some slightly toasted malt and a dry finish. Light-bodied with strong carbonation.
