The aroma is a blend of fresh grassy and floral hop and a subtly soft, caramel-tinged maltiness. The palate is a balance of gentle grainy maltiness and sprightly floral, citrusy fresh hop fruitiness. The finish is bittersweet with hints of citrus fruit weaving in and out.

Medium golden colour. The aroma is malty with a little bit of pedio. Earthy character, definitely on the sweet side, with maybe some sulphury notes. Not a terribly dynamic beer.

Cask at The Britannia, Richmond, London. It pours clear golden yellow, with a thin fluffy white head and soft carbonation. The nose is bread, yeast, orange and grass. The taste is lemon, lime, pineapple, orange, hay, grass, honey, light spice and bread. It is a crisp, fruity, easy-drinking session ale.

Cask, full pint, cellar cold at The Flying Horse, Gatwick. Slightly unclear golden-amber body. Tiny, white head reduced to a patchy surface. Malt-fruity smell. Some apricot mixed with grain in flavour. Too few hints of hop bitterness to the ending. Alright, but not in prime shape at the pub. In fact, rather vapid in the mouth (waiting for hours at the airport for a new plane, 08.08.2009).
