Nach langer Reife macht das Wanderer Black IPA seinem Namen alle Ehre. Schwarz wie die Nacht, mit hellbraunem, feinporigen Schaum will es dir von seinem Weg erzählen. Fruchtige Noten von schwarzer Johannisbeer und Passionsfrucht kombiniert mit Kaffee strömen aus dem Glas entgegen. Im Antrunk spritzig und trocken macht sich schnell ein volles Mundgefühl breit – Lakritz und Kakao im Hintergrund. Ein anhaltender, angenehm bitterer Abgang bleibt in Erinnerung an den Wanderer.

From tap at Naiv, Frankfurt. Black color with beige head. Roasted malty aroma, caramel, bread, chocolate, some hoppy notes. Sweet and bitter bready taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

*Bottle from Schneiders Getränke, Köln. Smooth thick dark beginning. Intense roasted, dried fruits with a moderate bitterness. Round and somehow sticky aftertaste, fresh hops, but the malty roasted dried fruit body is a bit too dominating.

Bottle 330ml. @ home on the terrace. [ As RavenKraft Wanderer Black IPA ].Clear dark black brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, sweet malt, roasted, chocolate, sugary, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, roasted, dark malt, sugary. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20170623] 7-4-7-3-14

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown to almost black. Small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and oily hoppy. Bitter, slight herbal. Dry and mild fruity. Herbal dry far finish.

(bottle, 33cl) Almost black colour with a beige mid-sized foamy head. Dark and mildly roasted malty aroma with hints of chocolate, earthy notes and a whiff of dried fruits. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Mildly roasted and earthy malt character with notes of dark chocolate, shades of dried fruits, leather; sweet-bitter, roasty and slightly alcoholic finish. Style-wise really tame on the hop side. 24.VI.17

Tap. Darkest brown color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, a bit grassy, sticky hops. Taste is chocolate, a bit lacto, rather sweet. For a Black IPA, the hop character is rather tiny. Oily mouthfeel. Good beer though.

Sampled @ Craftbier Messe Mainz 2016. Fast schwarze Farbe, mittelgroße beige schaumkrone. Geruch mild hopfig, dunkles bitteres malz. Geschmack mild hopfig, rote Früchte, Karamell, okay.
