Bottle 35,5 cl. Clear reddish amber with a creamy beige head. Aroma of burned caramel and hops. Medium body, burned caramel and pumpernickel with a fairly bitter finish. 060709

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden deep orange with a small white head. Light hoppy and acidic aroma. Flavour has the same base notes with a light bitterness coming through. Bitter and fruity finish.

Bottled. An amber beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, spicy and hay like hops, and some caramel, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Thanks to cbkschubert for the bottle - I figured I’d squeeze in a rating before I open the designated new year’s beers - this is a good start to my evening - pours a medium copper, with a soapy, lasting head - very esb-ish aroma, with bready, doughy, medium-sweet british-style maltiness, and a moderate, earthy hop profile - a little bit of apricot in there - the flavor is much more american, with an assertive hop bite that becomes a bit pine-like, and somewhat spicy - a balancing, caramel malt sweetness never becomes too strong, letting the hops shine all the way through - long bitterness through the finish, with a little bit of oily hop resin feeling on the palate - a slightly metallic character develops as it warms, but the hops cover it up well - certainly the best beer I’ve had from Mexico - I can’t wait to try the barleywine.

Bottled at a mexican restaurant in SF. Clear copper color, short head. Aroma is sweet citrussy hops, some fowers, hint of honey. Quite bitter taste, slight sourish, bit sweet. Quite decent stuff, did not expect that from a mexican brewery.

Bomber from the Coop in Davis, CA. Clear amber color with a frothy multi-finger beige head. Nice resin hop aroma. Plus grass, flowers and lightly roasted malt. Medium body with lightly frothy carbonation. Flavor is spicey, lightly roasted malt with hop bitter to balance - but citrus?/resin?/floral? Seems to be a bit of several. A really tasty pale ale. Viva Mexico.

Draft. Rich amber/copper color with an off-white head. Slight citrus, earth, malt aroma. Malty flavor that turns grainy with a bit of citrus. Medium body. Grainy aftertaste that really annoys.
