Bottle, from historic notes. Sourced from a shop in Burton. Poured almost black with a beige head. Looked the part. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit, hint of berries, liquorice and ash. Moderate roasted bitterness. Quite light bodied. Not bad.

Earthy smoked malt aroma. Thin and fairly watery. Roasted malt in the falvor, fairly fruity (blackcurrant) and some licorice. A hint of apple sourness.Re-rate: same brew, tasted half a year later: apple sourness has developed into a vinegar sourness. Apple and mustard is aroma and flavor.

Festive Christmas Porter. Special Thank's for Karol for buying in Southampton. Mikolaj na etykiecie zadowolony niemal jak ja, bylem pod wrazeniem aromatycznym. Czekolada Catburry, kakao z mlekiem, sporo przyprawionego piernika swiatecznego, lukrecja, odrobina anyzu i pieprzowo chmielowe rozgrzanie przelyka. Ciemne, bardzo, lekko metniste, srednia piana, lecz opada szybko. Posmak swiateczny pozostaje sporo w gardle. Genialny Porter

From old tasting notes. Clear reddish brown color with a brief tan head. Sweet roasted malt aroma redolent of dark molasses. Light sweet roasted malt flavor has a touch of hop bitterness. Salty notes in middle. Bitter hop finish is dry and spicy. Rather light bodied for a porter. Well balanced and interesting.
