Pours black into a tulip. Tan head with excellent retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Dusty chocolate and plum aromas. Medium bodied with dusty dark chocolate and tart cherry and plum upfront turning to bitter earth and oaked whiskey in the lasting finish.

Sample at Crafted Drafts during the "Anchorage Sour Tasting" on 08/14/2016. The beer pours a clear dark brown color with a medium thick light beige head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of dark fruit, oak and funky yeast. Medium body with flavors of brett yeast, oak, red fruits and malt. The finish is vinous oak and yeast. Pretty good all around.

Char and currant aroma. Black, medium beige head. Charcoal and currant. Medium body, easy carbonation. Tasty, not as much complexity as I would have expected.

750ml bottle at share on 6/11/16. Pours out flat, oily black body. Smell goes in another direction, fruity and tart. Taste is also fruity, with more tartness, and more of the barrel elements coming into play. A nice cap to the evening, full of excellent beers

Bottle share. Dark brown color with a smaller tan head. The aroma is complex with the barrel notes, vinous bits, and brett. Lots going on here, from buggy tart notes to the woody barrel taste. Dark fruits and more vinous bits. Some moderate sour lingers.
