Foamy white head left a cover on a translucent golden body. Syrup & jam aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & sharp on the back. Fruity & syrup on the front with a malt back & pithy tangy aft. Standard

330ml can. Pours dark gold, moderate head with oddly big almost bath sized bubbles which dissipate quickly leaving no retention; odd Aroma has an aromatic floral and orange note which reading up seems to be the Amarillo hops. Ironic given they went with 'Chinook' in the name - I don't really get much pine. Taste is a touch of caramel malts, grapefruit, orange resin and I do detect a hint of pine now, occasionally metallic, quite bitter in the finish; its decent, not exactly the freshest hops but not bad. Body is light to moderate and average carbonation; fine Overall a decent beer particularly by Aldi standards but not sure I would buy again despite how cheap it is.

Pours a clear gold with a frothy white head, and a citrusy aroma. Nice clean, zesty mouthfeel, and well carbonated, the taste is decently bitter and citrusy, with an almost piney character coming through in the finish

Can from (strangely enough) Aldi. Not much of an aroma here – just faintly lime marmalade. Pours a golden yellow with minimal head and light carbonation. Taste is dominated by biscuit and malts plus some lemongrass. Hops are there if you search for them, and they come out m more in the finish. It’s pleasant enough I suppose, but a bit watery. [ Also a bit dark to be a “pale ale”]

10/3/2020. Can from Aldi, Martlesham Heath. Pours golden with a short lasting fluffy white head. Aroma is lightly hoppy, grassy, fruity, piney, malty. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, slightly earthy/metallic. Moderate body, average carbonation, gassy finish. Not terrible.
