It’s a pale bitter. When well kept this is the perfect example of a British session ale. Full of biscuity grain, smooth and mildly bitter.

Cask. Appearance is clear and golden with no head. Aroma of faint fruit, lemon, hops. Taste- citrus fruit, soft hoppy notes, hint of sweet malt. Mouthfeel a bit watery.

Cask @ The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury. Pours clear amber, fluffy white head. Aroma is light grains, straw. Taste is of course rather light, with faint pale malt and straw taking centre stage. Rather weak & ostensibly watered-down, even for a mild.

Super clean. Great fruity yeast esters. Moderate clove. So drinkable. Great golden ale.

Gravity cellar run at the Old Windmill, Coventry, 22/04/15. Clear golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is caramel, light straw, fruit notes. Taste comprises bread dough, light malt, biscuit, fruit peel. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitterness in the close. Ok inoffensive affair.

On cask at the Starbank. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - hay and herbs. Taste - more hay but unfortunately a bit sweet and cloying. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that is just a bit too sweet. Overall - not worth having a second.

Pint from the Prince of Wales, Lincoln. Cask. This beer has a clear golden colour with a creamy white head. The aroma is typical of an English session bitter. But the low alcohol level adds to the watery taste
