Cask (Harp, Strand, London) - Gold/amber in colour. Fruity and malty aroma. The taste is also fruity and malty and has a mild bitterness. Fairly refreshing.

Cask (handpump) @ The Kings Head, Huddersfield, England.Clear medium to dark yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel - toffee - creamy, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, orange, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is creamy - oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090716]

Small coarse white head. Yellowish body. No discernible aroma. Dry-sweetish caramel and roasted almonds taste with notes of honey and nuts. Thinnish body. Soft, mild mouthfeel. Dry floral caramel aftertaste, kind of watery, with resiny notes. A bit watery, but still nice. (0.25l cask, The Bricklayer’s Arms, Putney, London.)

Half, cask hand pumped at Bricklayers Arms, Putney. Clear golden body without a head. Momentary floral aroma. Light bitter, oily hops in taste. Rather watered and short mouthfeel (18.03.2008).

Cask at The Bricklayers Arms Putney 4 Feb 08. Golden colored. Strong fruity aroma. An OK white head. Subtle fruity flavor. An evolving dry, bitter fruity finish. A bit watery.

Cask-conditioned at the Red Lion, Ampney St Peter, Gloucs. Golden with a slight white head. Aroma of grassy hops and a touch of sweet malt. Very easy drinking with a subtle hop flavour.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 2007. Gold, yeasty aroma, some citrus in mouth, some good light citrus fruits. Nice though and I can’t believe I’ve never had it.

Cask at the Royal Exchange, Sale Place, W2. Golden with a thin white head; slightly sour hoppy aroma; quite full in the mouth with a malty caramel taste; gente bitterness on the finish. A very pleasant and refreshing pint.

(Cask at City Arms, Manchester, 29 July) Colour is amber with a frothy white head. Nose is malty with gentle notes of citrus and earthy hops. Taste starts malty with notes of orange and mandarin emerging before a balanced finish with a nice dusty hop character. Light body, rather dry and short finish. As stated, a refreshing session ale.
