2016 vintage. 500mL bottle, pours black with a large tan head. Aroma is all brett, with vinous notes, intense funk, and some roast. Flavour is over the too brett, to the point of being rather unpleasant — very funky, somewhat farty, with lots of roast, and almost no vinous character left. The brett has dominated this and rather destroyed this. Alright.

Bottle shared at the Beau in London tasting, last group tasting for 7 months - who knew, thanks to Tipple 11/03/20. Black with a good sized tan head. Nose is tangy dark fruit esters, roasted malts, spice, charr, light brett notes. Taste comprises tarte fruits, chocolate, fruit cake, mellow bretted notes, funk, light roast, ashen tones, red berries. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a balanced rising boost. Decent but not blow me away by any means.

Palate is semi sweet, bretty, tangy roast, frothy airy carbonation. Interesting bretty stout.

On tap at Avenue Pub. Pours black with medium beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong roast, cocoa, funky, oak. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, nice dry finish, vinous, enjoyed this.
