Strong but elegant, it has a complex aromatic profile with citrus, resinous, herbaceous and balsamic notes. It is a strong beer, brewed with the best traditional English malts, sweet and caramelized.
Its characteristic bitter and slightly rough taste enriched with notes of cinchona and licorice makes this beer dangerously pleasant.
Try it with meat dishes or a bitter chocolate-based dessert.

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso va sul luppolo. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e la continuità olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una discreta resistenza. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana medio-fine. Il liquido è di aspetto velato e anche qui la grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine, con carbonazione nella media e velocità di ascesa morbida. Il colore è ambrato carico. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è carico. L'intensità gustativa è elevata. La costanza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono luppolate. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al palato arrivano sentori di miele, frutta secca, luppolo, resina, agrumi e pompelmo.

Sampled at Brassigaume 2019. A clear amber beer with a beige head. Aroma of resinous bitter hops, grapefruit, pine. Taste of intense resinous bitter hops, pine, spruce, long bitter finish.

Clear and copper coloured. Aroma and flavour have lots of caramel malts. Well rounded. Could be more bitter.

Dark amber color, dull, with small frothy head. Strong aroma of sweet malt, and PNW hop pellets. Full bodied, it has a strong malt flavor, fairly sweet, and strong bitterness with a resiny and orangey character.
Midway between Imperial IPA and American Barley Wine, the malt character is very strong, but so the hops (think of Cascade with some Simcoe). Good, a bit rough.
