330ml bottle from Jason’s Food Hall, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy medium amber with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt, mineral, fake sugar, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a crisp, malt, mineral, slightly watery, light dry woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

355ml bottle into glass. Faint fruity hop nose. Dark amber/red beer with small white head. Looks like an aquarium with multiple particles and bubbles moving up and down! Pretty amazing to watch. Clean light mouthfeel, less carbonated then you would expect. Orange juice finish with a little malt. Has an ABV of 5.2%, looks like it should be chewy but drinks like a refreshing light summer ale. Curious but very pleasant.

(Bottle) Not a pretty beer - hazy / cloudy amber brown with no head. Pine metallic aroma with some subtle fruity notes, but the dominant aroma is not appealing. Light body with medium carbonation. Taste is quite pleasant, with some interesting and fairly complex fruity, estery flavours, some gentle sweetness and a reasonable amount of, rather sharp, bitterness in the finish. Overall quite drinkable, but it doesn’t really all hang together for me.

Bottle 355 ml thanks to Dallas (not on ratebeer)! My first beer in Brisbane.On July 18, 2013.Hazy brown color, fluffy off-white head. Sweet, malty, dark fruits scent. Malty, grainy, hoppy, bitter taste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.Nice and tasty, still easy to describe in words, or rather not too many words pop up in my head. Nevermind, just try it, it is nice.

Bottle. Dark brown with a slight, off-white head. Malty brew, with some hedgerow fruits, cereal malts and moderately bitter finish. Ok.

dark brown color. Lots of chocolate malt, dried strawberry, marshmallow and wood. Very malty woody, with some hops hitting the back of the throat. Well balanced and rounded. A supped up British bitter. Light bitter finish

This little’un was unmistakably Coopers from the outset with an aroma very reminiscent of the Pale, but with clearer hop notes. There was also a soft, sweet fruity flavour and biscuit and yeast underneath. Also like the Pale, I felt that the tasting didn’t live up to the smelling - it is just a bit too watery with slight malt and hop notes. Celebration ale? Well, there was a party in my nostrils, but just a couple of friends for dinner in my mouth.

Pours copper with a large, fading head.Aroma seems pretty Coopers-esque, with bready, grainy malt and faint banana notes from the yeast. Perhaps a bit of nutty and toasty malt redeems it.Pretty much the same in terms of flavours. Coopers yeast, grainy malt. Again, the addition of nutty notes seems to be the only thing to differentiate this from the standard sparkling ale.

From a 355ml bottle on 15/6/2012. Pours a very cloudy dark orange (lots of yeast floaties) with a smallish head. Has a slight fruity, spicy, yeasty aroma. This is a typical Coopers ale flavour wise, with lots of fruit (apple and pear) set off against a strong spicy hop bitterness. It’s less sweet and a touch more bitter than a Sparkling. Has a relatively full body. Quite enjoyable.
