Bottle. Pours clear pale straw with airy white head. Celar aroma of yeast, with notes of hops and touches of malt. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with grainy and estery notes and touches of malt. Bitter and estery aftertaste with notes of paper. Nothing special but easily drinkable.

50 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ the Marqt supermarket, Den Haag. Golden yellow with a firm white head. Grainy malty aroma. Nice bitternes.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, getreidig, leicht herb. Geschmack malzig würzig, getreidig, minimale Bitterkeit.

50cl Bottle from Marqt, as Ur-Helles, ABV 4.8%. Clear deep golden colour, white head. Aroma of grain, light skunk, herbal and spicy hops but not in the way I like it. Flavour is grainy, skunky, stale hops, hint of metal, some toast, bitter grassy and mineral finish. Light-bodied. Didn’t like this at all.

bottle as Ur-Helles from Bierzwerg. Hazy golden yellow, white head. Lovely and very promising hop aroma. Medium-boded, grainy malty base with a touch fo fruity sourness and lots of aromatic hops that add a nice grassy touch. Very nice.

Orange and cloudy with 1 cm long lasting head. Typical aroma to helles: butter and grainy malt, but a bit harsh too. Flavour is rather light for this style, it has hints of butter and some grain. Smooth palate, just right amount of CO2 but a bit watery though. Somewhat refreshing and good after sauna beer, but too watery and light for other use.
