Strong and well hopped for the voyage sending IPA from the Wolds to the World. Interestingly brewed with a pale Wold grown malt base, a triple hop blend and Maize for the head retention.

Medium offwhite head. Clear yellow body. Floral orangey mint aroma with strawy notes. Dry-sweet resiny orange zest and grapes taste with strawy dusty notes. Mid-bodied. MIld, soft mouthfeel. Dryish salty orange zest aftertaste with spicy herbal grape notes. Nice, drinkable, different. (0.5l bottle, from Co-op, Whitby.)

500ml Bottle: BBD end of Aug 2013. Poured into a UK pint sleeve on 1 Jul 2013 at home. Orange to light amber body, almost clear: on top a full and deep uneven carpet of white bubbles. Mixed bag of flavours and smells: the nose was both fruity and spicy with a malty backbone. The taste also both fruity and spicy, again with malts hanging around, however the hops also added a new dimension, a semi-dry bitterness that pushed the malts into the background even further than in the aromas. Some yeasty notes in the taste also. Good body depth and the alcohol level suited the brew. All in all a good beer.

Pours pale gold with a thin white head nose is citrus and fresh hops. Good bitterness, more fruit flavour, but more muted than I’d expected. Long dry finish. Hides volume well

Bottle from Sainsburys. Deep gold with a slight white head and plenty of carbonation. Aroma of tangerine and apricot fruit with a touch of grassy hop. Flavour had some sweet, cereal malts, more fruits and a dryish finish. Fine.

Has a strong, hoppy aroma and the taste is hoppy with a sweet edge but finishes with a crisp, bitter aftertaste. Nowt special but very drinkable.
